PIN STUDIO establishes this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of users’ personal and privacy information on our website “pin-studio.art” and our iOS application “Ghosty” and “LayerDiary”.
1. Information Handling on the Website
Analytics Tools
We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used and to improve its content. These tools use cookies to collect traffic data anonymously and do not identify individuals. You may opt out by adjusting your browser’s cookie settings.

2. Information Handling in the iOS App “Ghosty”and “LayerDiary”
To provide advanced self-management and focus features, the App accesses on-device data through Apple-provided APIs. We do not transmit, collect, store, or sell any of this data to our own external servers.
Health Data (Apple HealthKit API)
The App accesses health data such as sleep duration and step count solely to calculate progress scores (Metabolism feature). All data is processed on-device only. We do not access, view, or share this data externally, nor is it used for marketing or advertising.
Screen Time API
We use the Screen Time API to block notifications during focus sessions. All processing occurs locally on your device. We do not monitor or collect data about your usage of other apps.
Calendar Data (Calendar API)
We read and write to your calendar to sync focus sessions with your schedule. We do not collect or store the content of your calendar events.
Data Sync (iCloud)
We use Apple iCloud to sync data across your devices and maintain secure backups. Data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account. We have no ability to access its contents.
Face ID / Touch ID (Local Authentication)
In “LayerDiary”, we use Face ID or Touch ID to lock and protect your privacy. The biometric authentication process is handled entirely securely on your device by the Apple operating system. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have any access to your facial or fingerprint data.
App Analytics
To improve the App’s features and user experience, we use a privacy-first analytics tool (TelemetryDeck). It collects completely anonymized usage data, such as app launches and interactions with features. It does not collect personally identifiable information, device IDs, or track you across other apps and websites.
3. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
We will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the following cases:
・When necessary to prevent fraud or other illegal activities
・When required by law
・When necessary to protect life, body, or property, and obtaining consent is difficult

Comments left on the Site and their metadata are retained indefinitely for communication and spam prevention. Data created within the App (Ghosty and LayerDiary), such as projects and session records, is stored on your device and in your iCloud storage for as long as you use the App. You may delete this data at any time by removing the App or clearing your iCloud data.
7. Your Rights Regarding Your Data
If you have an account on our Site or have left comments, you may request an export of your personal data we hold, or request its deletion. This excludes data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Since App data is not stored on our servers, deleting it from your device constitutes the exercise of your rights.
